Chapter Thirteen

Peter looked across the dark cab of Billy’s truck. “Your place?”

“Sure.” Billy nodded, turned the key, and the truck came to life. He put it into gear and then drove them to his apartment. They didn’t speak. No words were necessary; they both knew what was going to happen next. What had been building between them all through dinner.

Billy pulled the car into his parking space and then shut off the engine. “Peter.”

Peter’s stomach did a dive. He feared Billy’s next words would be, We need to talk. Followed by, This isn’t going to work. Two lines he’d heard way too many times in his short life.

He laid his head back against the headrest. “Yeah?” What more could he say? Oh, he could say fuck me or let me suck you; those were safe. He’d done those before—deflected the impending dumping with sex, at least for a while. He was about to open his mouth, not even knowing what he would say, when Billy spoke.

“I want you more than I’ve ever wanted a man.” Billy wiped his hand over his face and exhaled.

Peter opened his mouth, but no words came out. That wasn’t what he’d expected. Not at all.

“Same here.” Peter sat perfectly still, afraid to move and break the moment.

Billy turned to him, took him by the arms, and dragged Peter close enough to kiss. Peter could only take a breath before Billy did just that. Kissed him. Kissed him as if there was no going back, as if this was the big one, as if this was important, and God, I need you and want you all rolled into one incredible kiss.

Peter melted. His bones went liquid, and only Billy’s grip on his arms held him upright. The urge to collapse, to fall onto this man’s body, to find his home inside Billy, overpowered Peter.

Yet his hands had a mind of their own. He unbuckled Billy’s belt and drew down his zipper as Billy devoured him. God, he loved the way Billy kissed him. It was hungry and primal and so very…wolf.

Peter pushed the jeans away from his target, and to his delight, Billy was commando. Thank God, no extra clothing. Smart, smart man.

He broke the kiss as his hand wrapped around Billy’s hot cock and pulled it free. This was what he’d wanted for so long. His mouth on Billy’s dick.
